We have one of the longest running Alliances, 13-years and going strong. Every three years the Alliance has to be renewed. This year the renewal signing was done at the MTMIC office. After each renewal signing, MIOSHA releases a press release announcing the signing. Chris will submit a request for consultative assistance (RCA) form on your behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MIOSHA and MTMIC Sign Alliance to Promote Workplace Safety and Health<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>February 28, 2019 \u2013 The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) and the Manufacturing Technology Mutual Insurance Company (MTMIC) signed an alliance agreement formalizing a mutual commitment to workplace safety and health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to sign this alliance that brings together our organizations to expand education, outreach and information sharing throughout the state,\u201d said MIOSHA Director Bart Pickelman. \u201cMTMIC is a longstanding MIOSHA partner and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them and their constituents to develop appropriate safety and health programs to keep workers safe.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>This marks the fourth time that MTMIC has renewed this alliance with MIOSHA. Previous alliance signings occurred in 2009, 2012 and 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the alliance, MTMIC members will gain a greater understanding of the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Act (MIOSH Act). The team will meet at least three times per year to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the alliance. The alliance will remain in effect for three years from its date of signing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cSince the inception of our alliance, 150 of our policyholders have used MIOSHA\u2019s services with great success and deemed it an invaluable training tool,\u201d said Chris Demeter, senior loss control consultant at MTMIC. \u201cThe alliance affords employers and selected employees the opportunity to learn how to identify unsafe or unhealthy acts or conditions and MIOSHA enforcement violations.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>MIOSHA alliances enable organizations committed to workplace safety and health to collaborate with MIOSHA to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
